This article explains our process for submitting test parts and information on how and where to ship them to.

Updated over 4 months ago

All Manufacturing Partners must submit a test part as part of the onboarding process. No manufacturer can use our platform without test part approval.

  1. Manufacture the Test Part: Click on the "Test Part" section to view the specifications for the test part based on your selected capabilities.

  2. Test Part Specifications:

    • Tolerance: Manufacture parts to the dimensions specified on the drawing and test part web page.

    • Material Grade: Any grade of material is acceptable.

    • Engraving: Use the correct tool for engraving as specified. Laser engraving or milling is not acceptable if not specified.

Shipping a Test Part

Once your test part is manufactured and meets your quality standards, ship it to our UK Quality Hub for evaluation by one of our Quality Specialists.

  1. Packaging: Carefully wrap and protect the test part in a high-quality box to prevent damage during transit. Include the inspection reports and a delivery note with your company name and contact details.

  2. Shipping Address:

    Ella Bunting
    Partner Inspection Department
    45 Vyner Street
    London
    E2 9DQ

  3. Shipping Instructions: Download our "Shipping Labels and Instructions" from the test part section on the onboarding page. Note that you are responsible for all shipping costs and duties.

  4. Pro Forma Invoice: Enter a value of $10.00 and include the description "Test samples for evaluation purposes only, not for resale." Indicate that there is "No Commercial Value." Always check with your shipping carrier and local customs regulations to ensure compliance. Geomiq is not responsible for any test parts held in customs.

  5. Important: If the test part cannot be identified by our team, it will not be processed and will be disposed of.

Test Part Approval

After review, you will receive an email from the Partners Team confirming the status of your test part. The email will include a test approval form detailing the pass/fail criteria.

  1. If Approved: You will be activated on our platform and receive a welcome email with a link to our Knowledge Base. It is essential to read our Knowledge Base and Terms and Conditions carefully before using the platform.

  2. If Not Approved: You have one opportunity to resubmit the test part for approval.

We typically process test parts within 48 hours of receipt, although this timeframe may be extended during busy periods. Please check the tracking information to confirm the arrival date of the test part before contacting the Partners team.

If you have any issues onboarding please reach out to [email protected] and a member of the team will assist you.
